Hero Privacy Policy
For independent service professionals on the HALOFIX USA platform.
Last updated: May 2026
1. Overview
This Hero Privacy Policy (the “Hero Privacy Policy”) describes how HALOFIX USA LLC (“HALOFIX USA,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) collects, uses, retains, and discloses personal information of independent service professionals (“Heroes”) who register on the HALOFIX USA platform.
This Hero Privacy Policy is separate from and supplemental to the HALOFIX USA Privacy Policy, which governs information collected from Residents (homeowners) who book services through the platform.
2. Scope
This Hero Privacy Policy applies to:
- Hero registration and onboarding (including FL DBPR license verification, FCRA background checks, and insurance verification)
- Hero-bound SMS communications, voice calls, and push notifications
- GPS location data captured during active jobs
- Job dispatch, acceptance, and completion data
- Hero payout and 1099-NEC tax reporting
3. Hero SMS / Text Messaging Terms
By providing your phone number and checking the Hero SMS consent boxes during Hero registration at /hero/apply, you agree to receive operational text messages from HALOFIX USA LLC related to your participation as a Hero on the HALOFIX USA platform. These messages may include:
- Job offer notifications — When a Resident books a service in your service area, you receive an SMS with service category, location (city + ZIP), and a 15-minute acceptance window
- Job assignment confirmations — When you accept a job, a confirmation SMS with booking reference and arrival time
- Schedule changes — If a Resident reschedules or cancels, you receive a notification
- Payout notifications — When a payment is processed to your Stripe Connect account or fails
- License renewal reminders — When your FL DBPR license is within 30 days of expiry
- Emergency dispatch alerts — For urgent jobs (plumbing leaks, HVAC outages during emergency declarations) eligible nearby Heroes receive an emergency offer SMS
Message frequency varies based on your job acceptance rate and platform activity. Message and data rates may apply. You can opt out at any time by replying STOP to any message. For help, reply HELP or contact us at heroes@halofixusa.com or call (786) 550-2580.
Your consent to receive Hero dispatch SMS is not a condition of participating as a Hero on the HALOFIX USA platform. Heroes who decline SMS consent receive job offers via mobile app push notification and email instead.
We will never share your phone number with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. All Hero SMS opt-in data is retained solely by HALOFIX USA LLC and is not shared with Residents, other Heroes, affiliates, or any third party for their independent marketing use.
If you have separately opted in to receive promotional Hero communications, HALOFIX USA LLC may also send you promotional SMS messages including Hero recruitment events, new service category launches, and platform feature announcements. Promotional SMS consent is separate from operational dispatch SMS consent and is not required to participate as a Hero.
Supported carriers include but are not limited to: AT&T, T-Mobile, Verizon, Sprint, and other major US carriers.
How to Opt Out of Hero SMS
- Reply STOP to any message to unsubscribe immediately
- Reply HELP to any message for assistance
- Email heroes@halofixusa.com
- Call (786) 550-2580
Opting out of operational dispatch SMS may significantly reduce your ability to receive and accept job offers, but does not remove you from the HALOFIX USA platform. You can continue to receive job offers via push notification and email.
